Guide to Pricing
What is the difference between an Estimate and a Quote?
The definition we use is “to roughly calculate”. We give costs by phone or email that are “ballpark” yet close for budget purposes. It gives you general idea of range you can work with.
We prefer to give a quoted fee before starting the project. The quote includes the elements necessary to bring the job to completion. Specific materials, shop labor, and an assessment of the piece are taken into account.
We consider the following things:
- The type of fabric and its cost
- Foam replacement – including thickness, density and compression
- Project complexity
- Frame stability and type of spring system employed
- Wood Refinishing
- Rush deadline
Once quoted our price does not change. One exception: A change in scope, material, or quantity after the job commences.
Estimated completion date:
Our schedule is typically booked 6-10 weeks in advance… however, when you make a firm commitment we work together to meet your deadline. Fabric and supplies are ordered and usually arrive within 2-3 weeks. You can expect your furniture back 2-3 weeks after it enters the shop.
